All games (I believe) support room-scale, so to move forward in the game you step forward in real life. You can use the right stick to turn the camera if you run out of room.
Games like Beat Saber use room-scale but you aren’t walking around.
Other games use “teleportation” you press a button and you instantly appear where your cursor was.
This isn’t immersive but doesn’t cause any issues. Then there is “smooth locomotion” which is just using the analog stick to move (like “normal video” games).
This can be used sitting, but most will combine it with the room scale. There are some less common options. The glide works like teleportation but you glide to where you're going
It’s cool but I don’t know anyone who “needed” to use teleportation like this at all. The “tug” or “pull” works like smooth locomotion but instead of using the analog stick you swing your arms or pull at the world to move around.
